About Janet: Janet is passionate about everything nature.  Her interest in birds began 25 years ago when living in Grapevine TX and identified the Orange Crowned Warbler clinging to the suet feeder in her backyard. Upon moving to Colorado 22 years ago Janet earned the position as Volunteer Naturalist with Colorado Parks and Wildlife.  She has surveyed nesting song birds in shrubland and ponderosa pine habitat, monitored wintering and nesting raptors in riparian and short grass prairie, and gathered data on active bluebird boxes along fence lines in open spaces.  As a Certified Interpretive Guide Janet loves guiding and connecting people to nature, habitat and fabulous landscapes. 
About Betsy: Betsy, a HAAT Board member, has been birding with Janet for many years. Betsy has taken classes from nationally-known ornithologist Ted Floyd and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Janet and Betsy are from St. Luke's UMC.

Description: These items were handwoven by people with developmental disabilities in a Cooperative called Mountain Valley Weavers. The weaving program provides the weavers with the opportunity to work in the community and helps foster their independence. The weaving studio is at Art on 8th Gallery in Glenwood Springs. All proceeds from the Gallery sales benefit the weavers and other individuals with developmental disabilities.

He partners, volunteers and donates money from his earnings to many non-profits. He firmly believes that together we can make earth a better place to live.
